Born in Haiti, Wyclef Jean moved to Brooklyn as a young boy. His neighborhood performances led to the formation of The Fugees, one of the most successful Hip-Hop/R&B groups of all time. But after years of success, the group dissolved. And amidst unsuccessful talk in 2004-2006 of a Fugees reunion, it became clear Wyclef would remain solo.

Wyclef Jean has written and produced top songs for Destiny'’s Child, Whitney Houston (My Love is Your Love) and Carlos Santana (Maria).
